Obituary for Cordiet Eastlyn-Davis

Cordiet Eastlyn Davis was born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on April 13, 1958 to Doris and Milton Roberts. Caddy, as she was affectionately called, completed her formative education at the Lowmans Leeward Anglican School and then on to Bishop College Kingstown where she graduated in 1977. She devoted her life to the Lord at an early age and was baptized in the Apostolic faith and then attended the Lowmans Hill Apostalic Faith Mission Church faithfully until she left for the United States.
In 1978, she met the love of her life, Alston Davis and they were married in 1989. The pair were blessed with their first and only child, a daughter Aleca Davis.
Cordiet then worked at the Eastern Caribbean Group of Companies (ECGC) until she migrated to the United States during the Summer of 2007. While in New Jersey, she stayed with her sister, Inez Gilkes and worked at the Sabert Corporation. In 2011, she moved with the Lord at Bethel Tabernacle of Praise then at Agape Sanctuary.
Family and interpersonal relationships were of the utmost importance to her . She was exceptionally giving and took responsibility for her then 4-year old niece, Hazelann. Despite distance from home she maintained close relationships with all of her family members, especially Deborah Durham, Carlisle Glasgow, Joanna Duncan, MacLeish Carrington, and her aunt-in-law Cynthia Beache. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasure; involvement in church, spending time with family and friends, and delighting others with the exceptional cooking and baking skills she acquired from her mother.
On Saturday November 17, 2018 at 4:20pm, Cordiet went to be with the Lord. She was preceded by her parents, Milton and Doris Roberts, brothers Hymie Roberts, Elfrado Roberts and Carlos Roberts, and sisters, Mercedes Roberts Francis and Irene Charles.
Left to cherish her memories and life is her beloved daughter, Aleca Davis and her husband, Alston M. Davis. Her surviving siblings and in-laws: Wendell and Beverly Roberts, O'Neil and Lynette Roberts, and Perry Roberts all which reside home in St. Vincent. As well as her dear sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Wendell Gilkes, whom reside in New Jersey, and Luenda Harry-Morris whom was lovingly adopted into the family by her parents and loved as a sister.
Her incomparable friendship will be missed greatly by her best friends Annetta ShepardWilliams, Jociter Archibald, and Silma John.
She will be missed by a host of her nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, family and friends.
