Beloved Mary Frances Chisholm was born October 10, 1946, to the late Charles and Florine Chisholm, in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was brought to New York City at the age of 2 and lived with her aunt Ella. Because of her mother's illness, she was unable to care for her. Aunt Ella raised her as her own, and provided the love and affection that was needed in her young life. Mary Frances loved her aunt Ella very much. They attended First Baptist Church of Brownsville.
Mary Frances attended Prospect Heights High School where she gradated in 1965. She also attended Adelphi Business School for Key Punch, where she graduated with a diploma for the course.
She worked at Trebor Knitting Mills for 18 years, as a Billing Typist. During this time she married the late George Williams, and had a son , Michael A. Williams.
Mary Frances was a Den mother to Michael's Boy Scout troop, and started a Girl's Scout Troup. She was a Girl Scout leader for five years.
She continued her education by taking Nursing Assisting courses and graduated with honors. She became a volunteer at Coney Island Hospital.
In 1982 Mary Frances met and married her late husband Aaron C. Smith. They moved their fellowship to Gethsemane Deliverance Church. At the time she was employed as a secretary for the Chief Administrator of Human Resources. She became ill and retired with a medical disability.
Mary Frances moved to Coney Island in 1999 and became a member of Coney Island Deliverance Church. She changed fellowship to Little Rock Baptist Church, Pastor McRace.
Mary Frances leaves behind her dearly beloved son Michael A. Williams and his fiancee Amanee; her "estranged" daughter-in-law Tinisha; her grandsons- Juwan A. Williams, Jayden K.Williams, Jayden K. Williams and Jerimiah, Rodriquez and a step-Grand, Amia. Also, her brother Ronald Jefferson(sister-in-law Darnell Uzzell), Brother-in-law Moses and Bea Smith, Wilert and Esther Jordan, Brother-in-law kent and Sheila Snead, Wilbert and Ester Jordan, Sue and Vincent Snead.
Let's not forget her bff, Thelma Barnes. She also has a host of loving family cousins and friends. "I love you all. Keep the good thougts and good times in your heart. Time will heal and joys always come in the morning."
