A Poem for Ethel Julia
Whenever we needed someone to understand
You were there to listen and hold our hands
We think about the old days wanting them back
When we were happy and full of laughter
Remembering is easy, we do it everyday
But missing you is a heartache that never goes away
All of us, do the best we can
But it will never be the same
We can’t tell you how often we all still speak your name
But we remember now in love
Your life from start to end
And we’re just glad we knew you as
Mother, Grandmother and as a friend
