Obituary for Barron A Melton

Barron Akil-Maurice Melton was born March 7th, 1990 in New York City, the son of Antoinette Wilson and the late Arthur Barry Melton. He was the second of their 2 children. Barron loved his children, a very proud papa. He was an avid animal lover and music lover. And we can’t forget a lover of his video games. He believed in working hard to get where you wanted to go and loved talking about current events and life itself. When in a conversation with Barron and he was in agreement with you he would state the word “Facts!” “Barron did you hear about the new …Facts Ma, or Barron I think the new school was needed in the neighborhood…Facts Ma Facts.”
From small Barron always looked up to his brother Blair. What Blair did, Barron wanted to do. From toys to ordering 2 cheeseburgers, a large order of fries and a large drink. It was a big difference when your big brother is 14 and you’re only 7. Barron’s eyes would water trying to eat all of the food in front of him. And talk about telling tales on your big brother because he wanted to play by himself. “Ma, Blair hit me or Ma, Blair’s bothering me” Just a peak in their room would reveal the truth.
Barron affected all he came in contact with. He was so proud of his new Job at Krasdale Foods and when he made Union, he was so excited that he leaped in the air. “Accomplishments Ma… Facts!”
Barron had a great smile and a laugh that was infectious. Tall in stature and big on love.
He is proceeded in death by his one son Jaden & sister Sable. He is survived by 1 son, Barron Jr (JR), and his 4 daughters, Jayla, Harmony, Adira and Blaire Allure. His big brother Blair Sr & wife Dr. Jamiyla Chandler-Melton, His other big brothers Barry, Coltrane and Sean; sisters: Doreen, Zanetta, Malika, Deborah and Denise. His mother Antoinette Wilson, Maternal grandmother Muriel Wilson, Paternal Grandfather Agustus Melton, his aunts Lauren Wilson (Auntie), Barbara Williams and Saundra Melton & his uncles Tim Stanton, Agustus Melton Jr and Dorian Melton. His long-time companion Kenyetta Falk Great aunts, uncles, a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends (known as family) and well-wishers.
Barron will be truly missed by all.
