Obituary for Allah Jamatic Davis Jr.

Allah Jamatic Davis known as “Matic or Mat”, born November 30,1998;
earned his angel wings on Saturday June 22, 2019, at the age of 20 years. He was
the only child of Nicole Joseph and first born of Allah Davis. Born in Brooklyn, NY
Matic spent time in Canarsie, Brownsville and Bed- Stuy where he was raised.
Jamatic enjoyed playing video games especially NBA2K and John Madden
Football, he spent his time playing games professionally, also, hanging out with
friends, watching sports, he loved fashion, listening to music, and having family
gatherings. He aspired to be a Rap artist and was developing his craft. He
encouraged his younger cousins to work hard in school. Matic was an overall good
guy with a big heart, our cool kid. Jamatic attended Erasmus Hall H.S. and
graduated in 2016. He played on the football team. He continued his education at
BMCC for a brief time. He loved the holidays especially Thanksgiving and
Christmas was spent with family and friends. His birthday was also a few days
after Thanksgiving so he would be lining up his birthday gifts from everybody.
Jamatic is survived by his mother Nicole D. Joseph, father Allah Jamatic
Davis, and younger brother, Amir Davis. Also grandparents, Viola Harris, Cynthia
Davis, Elijah Matthews and Tony Danzey. He is also survived by his aunts Felicia
Harris Shontavia Davis, Simone Danzey and his uncles Jason Joseph, Elijah Davis,
and Jamel Davis. He is also survived by his great grandmother, Celia Harris and
Hazel Davis. He will also be greatly remembered by his great aunts Felicia Harris,
Theresa Davis, Michele Harris and Debra Harris, numerous cousins and other
extended family members and dear friends.
Jamatic was preceded in death by his grandfather Bruce Joseph.
A celebration of Life Service for Jamatic will be held on Tuesday July 2, 2019
from 3pm-7:30pm at the Lisa Dozier Funeral Services Inc.
