Marva Andrea Stewart nee Sterling was born in Kingston Jamaica on January 31, 1958 to parents Gladstone and Icylin Sterling.
She was the first of six children: Noel (Deceased), Donna, Janice (Deceased), Paula and Shane.
She attended the St. George's Primary and Infant School for girls where she was successful in her Common Entrance Examinations and gained a place at the Merl Grove High School.
After high school, Marva ventured into the world of work at the Trade Board and from there moved on to the Ministry of National Security and Justice.
Years later, Marva migrated to the United States of America but kept strong ties with family and friends in Jamaica. She married but never bore children of her own. However, she loved her nieces and nephews as her own.
Marva transitioned on December 24, 2019, leaving behind her mother Icylin; siblings Donna, Paula and Shane.
