Uncle Jessie,

My heart is broken. As tears run down my eyes, I smile because I can hear still hear you laughing on the phone-from a phone call from long ago. Perhaps that is how God wants it to be. I don't agree, but I understand. There is something so beautiful, so tranquil, soothing about a memory. It invokes melodic laughter when we want to cry, it lightens the darkest of moments, it perpetuates a love that never ends. So perhaps, that is why God created memories, to remember the precious gifts HE made to last forever. So rest well. I know papa is showing you the ropes. Say hello to him and hug him for me okay? I Love you, your family loves you, and I'm going to keep lifting Aunt Keisha and my cousins in prayer.

Uncle Jessie,
My apologies we weren’t able to spend enough time on earth together. Although I only met you once I will always remember you by your bright smile and the stories our family tells me about you. 💙 I love you. To my auntie & cousins I love you guys dearly. I know god will get us all through this. In the Bible it says to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord! He is not here physically but spiritually he is with you every day, living in your heart! If you need anything we will always be there for you!

Uncle Jessie, i wish we would’ve had more opportunities to see each other and to get to know one another however, i have heard many great things about you...even though we had only met once from what i can remember, you were definitely talked about and those are the things that i will hold on too...you will be missed uncle Jessie..

And to my aunt and cousins, if you guys need anything, we are here for you!

The last time I saw my brother Jessie was November 2018. James and I were on a weekend visit in Philly; I had seen Jessie and Keisha and met my nephews and niece for the first time in April that year. Keisha prepared this huge brunch - it was awesome💕

I had contemplated and debated not seeing Jessie on that weekend visit in November 2018 because our schedule was jam packed and I had already seen him 6 months earlier and their were other family that I did not get to see earlier that year and wanted to squeeze in. However, I decided to call him and let him know I was in Brooklyn for the last hour, we had just had brunch with Denise and Lizette, and I wanted to do a “drive by” , as it would be unfathomable if I did not come be and just “hug his neck” . We arrived at the apt, James double parked and stayed in the car, I ran up too many steps and visited my brother and the kids, kissed his cheek💕😢HUGGED HIS NECK😢💕, on my tippy toes. He said to me, I love you sis💕 and said slow down... you always moving! The words our dad would often say to me. That was the last time I saw my beloved brother... the last conversation was when our brother Wayne conferenced me in on their call to encourage him to do better with his diet and health.. Wayne was frustrated and scared for him and wanted him to fight to do better and he told Jessie... whatever you need, I got you, in fact, gave him the diet plan he gave me! That was my last telephone conversation 🙏🏾😔🙏🏾

I love you Jessie James Walters, Jr
Keisha and my nieces and nephews, I love you and got you💕

Rest in Paradise Uncle Jessie😔! I will never forget the time you took my best friend and I around New York when I visited almost 16 years ago! We had the best time with you😁You also teased me because I I wore scarf, gloves and double layered clothes is 48 degree weather🤦🏾‍♀️ . That was the last time I’ve been to New York . To your wife and children I’m so sorry and can’t imagine the pain you are feeling , but I hope one day when all this is all over we can meet . My Condolences again.
